Care for your sleepwear
Our goal is not only to produce the most comfortable sleepwear in the world, but also to do so in a natural and sustainable way. Therefore, we use only the finest natural materials and produce exclusively with manufacturers who are committed to the highest Oeko-Tex standards.
To enjoy your Dagsmejan sleepwear for as long as possible, we have put together some care tips below.
The balance collection
Take good care of the lightweight, breathable and exceptionally soft fabric of your BALANCE pajamas by following the easy care tips below.
Care tips
Machine wash your pajamas at 40 °C on a low-spin cycle
We suggest using a laundry bag to protect the fabric from sharp or damaging items like zippers or Velcro.
Avoid using bleach and softeners
Bleach can be extremely damaging to fabrics and softeners are known to contain chemicals that are harmful to you and the environment. They work by covering your garments in a thin film that can even impede on all positive attributes of Dagsmejan sleepwear, including breathability and moisture absorbency. The modal used in the Balance pajamas is already very soft, so softeners are simply not necessary. For best results, we recommend using a mild plant-based detergent.
Do not tumble dry your BALANCE pajamas
Instead, simply lay them down flat to dry.
Refrain from dry cleaning Dagsmejan sleepwear
It can cause damage to the soft fabric.
The Stay Cool collection
Ensure that the breathable fabric of our STAY COOL pajamas keeps you cool and dry for as long as they were designed to by observing these easy care instructions.

Ultimate tips for long-lasting Dagsmejan PJS
1. Wash less for extra longevity
Washing your clothing too frequently can cause damage to your favourite pieces, shortening the garment’s lifespan and causing their colours to fade. Actually, your sleepwear holds it’s shape better if you wash it less. So next time you want to wash your pajamas, consider if it’s really necessary first.
2. Consult the care label
We want you to keep your Dagsmejan pieces for as long as possible. To ensure your sleepwear’s longevity and the correct handling, please consult the care label printed on the inside of your PJ’s. This way, you always have the wash instructions at your fingertips and can enjoy your favourite pajamas for as long as possible.
3. Avoid optical bleachers and fabric softeners
Most conventional detergents contain bleach, which is harmful to your PJ’s fibers and ultimately their fabric quality. To avoid damaging your favourite sleepwear, make sure to check the content of your chosen detergent before buying and avoid those with bleach. We recommend using a mild plant-based detergent.
4. Trust the magic of gall soap
Gall soap is a natural product and a highly effective solution for removing most kinds of stains. You may simply rub it on the stain (ideally on wet fabric), let it sit and absorb into the fabric for a few minutes and then machine wash. For more detailed instructions, please consult the info on your soap packaging.
5. Cover your pajamas when washing
We recommend placing your Dagsmejan sleepwear in a separate laundry bag for delicates. If you don’t have a laundry bag at hand, you may also use a pillow cover. This way, you can protect the fabric from sharp or damaging items, like zippers or Velcro.
6. Don’t overfill your washing machine
When placing your pajamas in the washer, try not overloading your washing machine. Overfilling your washer can cause friction between the individual garments and could result in fabric damage. As an additional consequence, the machine will not be able to clean your PJ’s as effectively.
7. Turn down the heat
Washing your Dagsmejan pajamas at 30 degrees is enough to kill the body’s bacteria that remain in the garments. That’s why it’s unnecessary to set your washing machine to a high temperature to wash your sleepwear. By not washing your sleepwear too frequently and using a lower temperature, you are saving valuable energy and helping the environment.
8. Let your pajamas airdry
Refrain from tumble drying your Dagsmejan pieces, as the process is damaging the soft fibres of your sleepwear. Our pajamas dry significantly faster than cotton garments thanks to Dagsmejan’s selected fibers and knit structures. Just hang your PJ’s to dry or simply lay the items down flat to avoid elongation. By refraining from tumble drying your laundry, you are in the same go not only gentle to your sleepwear, but also the environment.
9. Don’t iron and protect the environment
Not only is ironing our clothes time consuming, but it is also bad for the environment. By ironing our garments, every person is responsible for the equivalent of 190kg of CO2 being emitted every year. Ironing your Dagsmejan items is also completely unnecessary, as our fabrics don’t get wrinkled. Save time and the environment by not ironing your pajamas.
10. Better storage: folding instead of hanging
To ensure your sleepwear keeps its shape and fit, we recommend storing your PJ’s folded in your closet. Avoid hanging them (likewise with any knitwear products) to help maintain the clothing’s shape.
